Who I am

Hi! Iā€™m Emily, a psychotherapist that remains confident in the reality that we often learn the most about ourselves in relationship to other people. Through building a strong therapeutic relationship, you can feel safe to explore your suffering and find ways to grapple with the complexities of life with more grace and love. I believe in the integration of the mind, body, and spirit as essential to finding purpose and joy. Through building a safe and comfortable environment for self growth and healing, I work towards achieving your goals from a collaborative, nonjudgemental, and heart centered perspective. I work through a strengths-based, trauma informed, relational lens that incorporates different therapeutic modalities such as Psychodynamic, Humanistic/Existential & Internal Family Systems. I enjoy working with people of all backgrounds, with a wide range of identities that will be honored and recognized in the fullness of your life experience.

With couples, I pull from Attachment Theory and utilize an Emotion Focused Therapy framework. I received a BA in English from Pepperdine University and a MA in Counseling Psychology from the Wright Institute. My previous work experience was in a hospital setting, treating clients undergoing various levels of crisis. I am an registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist #150271 and an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor applicant. I look forward to accompanying you in your journey towards healing.
